Curb Appeal
Begin with the exterior of your home, also called your curb appeal. Inspect the outside of your house from the view of a passerby. What do you notice first? What positive features seem waiting to be noticed? Acknowledging this helps us to decide what actions we can take to invite buyers from the street and into your home. If your home's exterior isn't up to par with refreshed paint and blooming garden plants we'll need to address those as well. Refer to the Curb Appeal Checklist and boost your home's final selling price.

Welcome Home
Could a buyer see themselves lounging in your living room, reading a good book in your reading nook or studying in your home office? We want your house to welcome buyers and give them a sense of comfort. I'll help you do this by suggesting changes that enhance the features of your property. I'll advise you reduce the effect of anything that gives the look of clutter. Surface areas like tables, desks and counters should be clutter-free. Knickknacks, souvenirs, family photos, and refrigerator works of art should get stored away too. We'll simplify the decor of house. Disheveled or busy spots make your home seem less spacious and buyers have a harder time seeing themselves living there.
I'll look over each room of your home. I'll note the pieces of furniture that should be rearranged, rooms that need a fresh coat of paint, carpet needing to get changed, fixtures that need brightening, and any other improvement that can easily be made to positively influence the sale.
We'll ensure your home is likable and that it's welcoming, steering clear of "loud" or "personalized" colors on the walls and furniture. And if the house is vacant, you can consider temporary furnishings. You want your house to look homey as opposed to barren.

Setting the Stage You'll know when your home is ready for the Open House, because all of the changes come together to set the stage for what buyers can envision after they choose to buy your house. Brightness is critical and we'll part the curtains, and change light bulbs where needed to welcome the buyer. We'll enhance the air of the house with enjoyable music playing softly and assure a pleasant fragrance circulates from every area. We'll make use of cozy-looking blankets, and place pillows on your loveseat and bedding. We want buyers to feel like your place has the potential to be. |
